Only 1,500 units will be made, with custom paint applied by hand.

Harley-Davidson has unveiled the Low Rider El Diablo, the latest offering in its limited-edition icon collection program.
Worldwide production of the model will be limited to a single build of 1,500 serialized examples, which are scheduled to arrive at authorized Harley-Davidson dealers this year.
In a nod to the American West Coast trend for custom styling, the Low Rider El Diablo features a hand-applied paint scheme on panels and an audio system powered by Rockford Fosgate.

“The Low Rider El Diablo is a modern expression of the iconic 1983 Harley-Davidson FXRT and a representation of the creative times in which it was born,” said Brad Richards, vice president of design and creative director of Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
“It embodies the spirit of the 1980s Southern California counterculture in a contemporary package that features meticulously crafted custom paint, including pinstripe paths directly reminiscent of the original FXRT.”
Backed by the Harley-Davidson Softail chassis, the Low Rider El Diablo, powered by the Milwaukee-Eight 117 drivetrain, transforms the look of the Low Rider ST model with the addition of a detailed paint scheme applied by Gunslinger Custom Paint.

The paint scheme begins with a base coat of El Diablo Bright Red and a second coat of Bright Red Sunglo. Red pinstripes are masked out, and a layer of El Diablo Dark Red and Dark Red Pearl is faded around the panel shapes to add depth.
After masking, a layer of El Diablo Dark Red Metallic is applied to surround the El Diablo Bright Red color, with a fade effect where the colors meet to add depth.
When masking is removed, bright red El Diablo pinstripes are revealed on the saddlebags, tank sides, fenders and fairing. A pale gold stripe is then hand applied within the El Diablo Bright Red panels. The El Diablo Bright Red Sunglo is formulated with a tinted clear element to create a “caramel” effect.

All of the original paint on the Low Rider El Diablo was hand applied by the craftsmen at Gunslinger Custom Paint in Golden, Colorado.
Gunslinger’s roster of nationally renowned painters, designers, artists and manufacturing team leaders have decades of experience providing custom painted components for Harley-Davidson Custom Vehicle Operations motorcycles and limited edition paint kits.
That said, it’s unknown at this time if the Low Rider El Diablo will make its way to Malaysia, but there’s a chance the Low Rider ST could be available here.
